Porch Baker in Charge

Hi I’m Bev (or Beverly in the South)—mom of two young men, wife of several decades, registered nurse, and the Porch Baker in Charge behind Teddybearchick’s Porch Bakes. Born and raised in Rhode Island, I eventually found my way to PA by way of North Carolina—collecting friendships and inspiration everywhere in between. Along the way, I learned from incredible home cooks, especially my beloved grandmother, whose love for homemade comfort food helped shape the heart behind my baking.

Today, many of those memories, cultures, and comforting flavors come together in the recipes I create—turning both classic and modern baked goods into small-batch treats packed with nostalgia, creativity, and a little sweet chaos in every bite.

From gooey Porch Picks and Emotional Support Treats to newly inspired yummy goodness, every item is made fresh in small batches in our 300 year old farmhouse kitchen where tradition, family roots, and modern conveniences shine through the chaos of life. Around here, baked goodness isn’t just an item on a menu—it’s comfort, cravings, and a good excuse to treat yourself.
